Agroprosperis Bank is the only bank in Ukraine that lends only to small and medium-sized agricultural producers. The Bank provides loans secured by future harvest or crop receipts, facilitating access to finance for producers who do not have enough collateral to receive a classical loan to the extent required.
Agroprosperis Bank became the first bank in Ukraine to provide loans secured by crop receipts and for the third year have been systematically using this tool.
Agroprosperis Bank provides financing to farmers in 14 regions of Ukraine - Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Poltava, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kiev, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Ternopil, Lviv, Rivne and Volyn.
Agroprosperis Bank provides a full range of services for legal entities, as well as accepts deposits from individuals. Reliability of deposits is ensured by investments in the most stable and profitable sector of the Ukrainian economy – agriculture, as well as participation in the Deposit Guarantee Fund. The bank has been assigned a highest rating of reliability of deposits at the level ua1 on the national scale.
Agroprosperis Bank is a bank with 100% foreign capital. The Bank’s sole shareholder is Agro Holdings (Ukraine) Limited, which is indirectly owned by the fund NCH Agribusiness Partners II, L.P. The fund's investors are well-known international financial institutions, universities and pension funds of the United States and Europe, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
NCH Agribusiness Partners II, L.P. is a member of an investment funds group managed by NCH Capital Inc. (USA), which has been managing investments of $3 billion through 9 regional offices around the world since 1993.
In 2006 investment fund NCH Capital Inc. began investments in Ukrainian agriculture.
On July 17, 2015, Agro Holdings (Ukraine) Limited, a subsidiary of NCH Capital Inc., signed an agreement to acquire PJSC "Astra Bank", which was registered in 2007, and in 2015 declared insolvent by the National Bank of Ukraine. This agreement became the first and so far the only case of purchase of insolvent bank and bringing its ratios of capital and liquidity in accordance with the legislation.
On February 4, 2016, the Bank entered the market under the new brand – Agroprosperis Bank and with the new business model – as the only bank that finances exclusively small and medium-sized agricultural producers. In February 2016, the Bank issued the first financial crop receipt in Ukraine, becoming the first bank to lend with the use of this innovative instrument.
